Alyssa made some of the first actin tactoids in our lab at Clemson! An exciting day!
-
First TEM!
Sam and Alyssa prepared and imaged our first TEM grids! Thanks to Clemson’s awesome Electron Microscopy facility for help!
-
First Really High Magnification
Exploring our biopolymer nanostructures at 100,000x magnification! Thanks again to our spectacular EM facility!
-
First Actin in our lab
Alyssa and John polymerized some beautiful long actin filaments in our very own lab and learned a little confocal fluorescence imaging.
-
First Actin at Clemson
We polymerized actin filaments and imaged with the Alper Lab’s home built optical tweezer/ fluorescence microscope. We are thrilled to have Clemson Actin and friends in the Alper Lab! Thanks Subash for helping us with your super setup!

Emulsions and electric fields
Our first experiments at Clemson! Super excited that Alyssa and Sahil visited the Kornev lab with our emulsions! Thanks, Yueming for working with us! We look forward to collaborating.
Congratulations!
